Payment
For all commercial insurance plans, we are considered "self-pay" or "out-of-network," which means GHW is not paneled with your insurance. For self-pay clients, payment is due at the time of service. We accept credit cards, cash, checks, and HSA cards.
Insurance accepted
At GHW, we are committed to providing therapy options for individuals with Medicaid coverage (Husky A, B, C, and D). If you have primary insurance in addition to Husky, you are still considered in-network. Learn more on our FAQ page.
Out-of-network? We can help!
Most of our clients are considered “out-of-network” or “self-pay,” which means you will pay us upfront at the time of service and then seek reimbursement from your insurance.
We aim to streamline this process by providing clients with a monthly “superbill,” an itemized statement that includes all relevant information about your sessions from the previous month. We send this through our online client portal within the first week of each month. Learn more about the most common billing questions we receive from clients here.
Each insurance plan is different, so we recommend checking with your insurance provider to learn more. Download our complimentary out-of-network tip guide for recommended questions/steps!
GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE
Under the “No Surprises Act” that went into effect in January 2022, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using/submitting any claims to insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a GFE for the expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. Make sure your health care provider gives you a GFE in writing before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a GFE before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your GFE you can dispute the bill. For questions or more information about your right to a GFE visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call CMS at 1-800-985-3059.
